Dinner was "Excellent"; Service was "Friendly"

We picked up ribtips for carry out. Excellent! They were the hit of my husband's birthday party. We'll be back again and again.

This was one of the best BBQ sauces that we have had in a long, long time. Great food! A good friend told me about AngLes and I plan on telling others as well. You don't have to be a "Westsider" to enjoy AngLes.

I surprised my father and took him to AngLes for his 78th birthday for dinner. We were greeted when we came in, the food was excellent and my father loved it, we will return soon.

Lunch was good! I had the BBQ pulled pork - yummy!

Food was quick to get out and we were thanked when we left. I was very happy to see that the owners would take the time out of their busy schedule to come out and talk to the customers, which made it a much friendlier place.

ANGLES, the slightly different name of a place that is on it's way to becoming the premere place for great food on South Bend, Indiana's West Side. The Owners, Angie and Les (thus the name ANGLES) have created a menu to please anyones taste. Everything on the menu is freshly made, therefore it takes a little longer for the food to arrive, but the meal is well worth the wait. Two menu items that really stand out are their Baby Back ribs covered in homemade bar-b-que sauce, which was made famous by another iconic establishment called Archies Ribs, which was partnered by Les's Father, Joe and his good friend Archie. Having enjoyed Archie's Ribs in the past, I was delighted to discover that the tradition lives on. Most of the dinners come with your choice of two sides: Dinner Salad, Cole Slaw,Red skinned Garlic Mashed Potatoes, French Fries, Vegetable Medley, Baked Beans, or Mac & Cheese. The second menu item I personally enjoy is their all-you-can-eat fish dinners on Friday nights. The Pollack fillets are coated in a corn meal based "secret recipe" and then deep fried to a somewhat crunchy texture. The times I enjoyed the fish, it came out piping hot and not the least bit greasy. This is a definite plus for diners who are tired of the sometimes greasy fish served at many other establishments. The fish dinner comes with french fries and coleslaw, along with a very generous portion of fish. ANGLES also offers a bar area, which is a smoking/dining section. They also offer daily specials taken from the full menu, along with a full carry-out service. The next time you are hungry for some "Good Cookin", come out to the best of the West Side.
